Rehan Hasan
Corporate Counsel and EVP

Rehan Hasan is a talented and well-rounded businessman, lawyer, techpreneur, philanthropist, and visionary.

With experience as a business owner and business lawyer, Rehan brings an exclusive perspective to all that he does. Before assuming the role of Corporate Counsel and EVP, Business Affairs at RedBarre, Rehan took part in founding several businesses, including his own award-winning law firm, Hasan, LLC, in 2009.

Corporate legal clients rely on Rehan to handle many different issues, including strategic legal problem-solving, tactical taxation issues, and global business development. He believes in providing approachable corporate legal advice as outside counsel and has worked with companies big and small. He works closely with clients through all phases of the business lifecycle and brings an entrepreneurial-minded perspective on funding, mergers, acquisitions, and long-term success.

Stepping out of the traditional boundaries as an attorney, he co-founded Galvanize, a multi-million-dollar tech startup cultivator and shared workspace that has become a revolutionary educational resource in the tech industry. From one Colorado location to eight nationwide, some of the most valuable tech companies are coming to fruition at Galvanize. As the co-founder of InCubate, Rehan brought his business knowledge to help Cubans develop products for their own use, reducing their dependence on foreign trade. Rehan also co-founded the Kenzie Academy in 2017. This innovative tech school allows students to go to school and defer paying tuition until they have a tech job earning at least $40,000 per year. Through the Unreasonable Group, Rehan mentors start-up and growth-stage businesses. His work with this company allows them to further their mission to support business professionals who are finding solutions to global problems such as fusion energy and powered farming initiatives.

Rehan’s education began at the University of Nevada, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History before completing a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations and Politics at Newcastle upon Tyne University. He then graduated from California Western School of Law and moved onto receive an LLM in taxation from the prestigious world-renowned New York University School of Law.

His work experience is as impressive as his education. He began his law career at Backus Carranza as an associate attorney and later moved on to work for Deloitte and at Fairfield and Woods, PC, as an attorney. Among other notable accomplishments in his successful career, Rehan is a co-founder of the Colorado Chapter of the South Asian Bar Association and Muslims for America. Both of these organizations help promote diversity in Colorado law by readying lawyers for public service. He is a member of the National and Local administration of the ACLU, where he was recognized with the ACLU of Colorado’s Volunteer Leader of the Decade award. Known as a productive volunteer in the art, legal, and tech communities, he is also an adjunct law school professor.

Rehan’s name can be found on the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list and GQ Magazine’s Gentlemen’s Fund list. He has been named a Colorado Super Lawyer since 2015 and holds a “Superb” rating on Avvo. He received the Exemplary Service Award from the Colorado GLBT Bar Association in recognition of his work in obtaining 501(c)(3) status for the Colorado GLBT Bar Association Foundation. Rounding out his list of talents and accomplishments, he is a trained actor and a multi-instrumentalist.
